Suzy's Jewelry...How It ALL Started
Suzy Pease is an Award Winning Artist who works from her home studio in Inverness, Florida. Her desire for sculpting began in 2010 when she resigned from her Profession as a Fine Art Educator on a quest to find her true passion and headed out on a most spontaneous adventure across country. She landed in Mesa, Arizona and enrolled in classes at the Master Level at Arizona State University. She was desperately seeking to find a spark...and that she did! Studying under Internationally Renown Ceramic Professor Kurt Weiser, she fell head over heels for the ceramic process. After her first few classes, she bought her first kiln and began to build her ceramic studio. She was a "Mad Scientist" at work...experimenting, testing processes, learning how to manipulate clay and glaze to get the desired effect...
Having a true love for the water, she began using marine life as inspiration for her works. It wasn't long before her ceramic sculptures were selling and winning awards.
Although Suzy enjoys making sculptures, entering Art Shows and winning awards... she decided to try her hand at a more functional form of ceramics... jewelry!
In 2017, she began designing jewelry as a more affordable and functional way for people to become a collector of her work. Needless to say, it received an astounding amount of popularity and interest.
